Summary0246: Not able to set/adjust conflicting/overlapping timers
DescriptionWhen timers overlap, the option is available, as expected, to choose to record a non-overlapping alternative instead. However, after choosing these later alternatives, the timer is set again on the first/original occurance of the programme which was overlapping in the first place. It is therefore impossible to change the timers to record a later alternative to avoid overlapping.

Unfortunately, the same problem still occurs with v4.5. It allows an alternative to be selected, but it always seems to then ignore that and set the timer for the original time again instead. For instance, with a series recording, the green outline denoting a series timer turns red to denote a "one-shot" timer, which clearly indicates the timer was cleared and reset.

I've checked this and the timers are correctly updated.

Please re-test and make sure that you select OK to update the timers list when closing the Conflicts dialog.
If you still have a problem, please re-open and assign to me with details of
- the streams
- the events and services you are trying to record.

Aha - I have now discovered an important detail while testing this that I have not mentioned above. The problem only occurs with series timers. Specifically, if there is an alternative available for a conflicting event and that programme is a series timer, if you choose that alternative it then reverts to the original event instead after pressing OK. If using "one-shot" timers instead of series timers, the alternative timer setting is preserved correctly as selected.

Confirmed as fixed in v6.5.
