Summary0406: Bush DVB-T2 MPG4
DescriptionHi, I have the above machine, showing running software 1.21.3
Intermittently, playback on time shift locks up.
I have had the unit for a couple of weeks; it's done it since more or less the beginning (incidentally, I think this is a 'refurbished' Argos machine).
Also, when I try to remove unwanted channels from the EPG, they more or less all go!
Thanks for your help.

Just in case you didn't know, the playback locking up is only temporary - it unlocks after 30 seconds or so (I nearly unplugged my box once because I thought it had crashed). This is an issue in the v1.21.3 software, which was not present in v1.20.2. You could downgrade to this version if you wish, but there will be no way to revert to v1.21.3 as this update was never broadcast for Bush boxes. This is a software issue and not a hardware fault. It has been suggested that it is related to having expired series timers left in the timer list, but I've been unable to prove this conclusively.

Can you elaborate on the removing channels issue, and perhaps give some steps on how to reproduce it? First time I've heard of an issue like this.

OK, thanks for the info and the speedy reply. So long as there is no major issue, I will live with it.
Error about the channel lists; they have been removed, perhaps I did something wrong initially? However, according to the manual the FAV button should bring up a list of favorite channels, on this machine it just brings up the channel bar along the bottom of the screen. That's OK - I can live with that too!

Ok - I think I see your confusion now... I don't have a manual for this particular box, but it has always been the case with Vestel software that the FAV button toggles your favourite list on/off. When you see the little star icon when pressing FAV, it means favourites are on (visible channel list restricted to the channels you selected as favourites), otherwise favourites are off (all channels, including non-favourites are visible).

Hope that makes sense. The playback locking issue should hopefully be fixed in the next update (currently in testing).
